Review:
It seems that, from the many comments on this site that some people may expect too much from a movie like Napoleon Dynamite.This not an art film, people. Its absurd comedy. Do not go see this movie you are looking for a deeper meaning or well-constructed argument - a vague resemblance of the plot is as artificial as they come, and apparently the majority are inserted to give structure of the film and make public some happy endings. NO, Napoleon Dynamite is not to change the world - his live-action South Park (Preston, Idaho, where the film is, in fact, has a strong resemblance to the real South Park, Colorado). It is very ironic, self-irony, gags and ruthless way liners for no apparent purpose beyond making people laugh at the expense of its main characters, on the appropriate vice Napoleon namesake for each which I felt like an outcast socially inept stuck in the hell of high school movies. This is not for everyone, but if you do not see the glimpses of his childhood in various absurdities and failures of the main characters, is in denial. I see Napoleon Dynamite, is expected sensitivity - see if you're angry with the world and just have to laugh. I saw him for the first time last night, and I'm still busting in spontaneous laughter when one of Napoleon stupid jokes or white-faced dead pan without sequitirs comes to mind.
