Review:
Shaun of the Dead is quite surprising and brilliant piece of work that I suspect will get instant cult status distinction mouth snowballs this film that richly deserves recognition.Simon Pegg, both common and author biggest star in the film, was the comedic force for a while, mostly in wonderful Hippies BBC2 series (which inexplicably bombed in the ratings), and Channel 4 cult series spaced. Both programs Pegg saliently hinted dead pan comedic way (and write) to come to fruition all in Shaun of Dead.In nut shell, this film is a romantic comedy with zombies (or zom-rom-com) shows no clear cause of good (although some intriguing clues offered). The film is a fantastic mix of fun, the violent and poignant.Pegg have folded like a hell of a serious miss this movie. And not in the American form: I'm a loser, but I work in TV and have Jennifer Aniston as my wife kind of taper as shown in tripe like Bruce Almighty or dozens of other films lose U.S.. Shaun Pegg is losing real and very recognizable too, man hes working for the electricity retailer and his life is simply boring and disappointing - and this is where the comedy comes from this movie. There are two scenes in the film that seems to sum up this (and also shine the light of Simon Pegg as a very smart and funny writer) and both Shaun scenes involve just walking in the nearby corner shop. The first semi-comatose Shaun trudge to the store we just get the feeling that he loses. But by the time the film shows him doing the same trip again we realize that there is much more going on! The scene is played with such exquisite subtleness to be one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in any movie! Not that this film is subtle, but it's a fantastic range of visual comedy, one liners, and (best of all) a few digs at other films from the horror genre. The funniest thing is very subtle snipe at Boyle `28 Days Later - see if you can spot the only problem with this movie review is that there are so many funny moments in it that are hard to pick someone to write about without spoiling! movie. All I can say is that I can not remember ever being this consistently funny movie with probably five or six laugh-out-loud moments seriously. It was a joy to watch and my only disappointment is that I could never see this film for the first time again - will always be viewing.Shaun show a repetition of the dead hardly any though - språ tion from the beginning is strong and the violence was quite surprising for the 15 certificate film (UK). This movie is definitely going to be most appreciated by horror fans know a huge back catalog of horror films. Will be enjoyed by teenagers (who turned theater when I saw this movie was very good, and lo highest). Finally, I have some criticisms of this movie, and there is some talent wasted in the film. Black Books (Channel Four) star Dylan Moran seemed a bit wasted and so was Martin Freeman (from BBC2 Office) - that made Zombie terrific! Also, do not recognize Matt Lucas (Little Britain BBC3) in this film? I'm not sure how I laughed too hard maybe? These problems are so small and can easily be pardoned. My suggestion is to go slow shuffle to your local cinema to see this film and Simon Pegg giving money and deserve recognition so he can go on and make more movies like this is good, including what the British newspapers suggested that his next project - `From Dusk Till Shaun.
